BEAT is developing AI and digital solutions to help organisations meet Net Zero targets. This is an exciting time for our development – we have secured funding to expand our solutions to support complex operations in the transport sector.

 

BEAT is working with major public and private stakeholders in the transport sector to help reduce emissions now, and to move to Zero Emission solutions. Critically, our solutions are based on real world data and understanding of the needs of our clients.

 

This is a great opportunity to work for an innovative company that has already developed and demonstrated our AI and data solutions. This is a chance to work closely with the founding team, develop solutions in a high growth sector, and to have a real impact on the climate emergency facing all of us.

 

This role is a Full Time, Fixed Term position (6-7 months), however there is real potential to expand this role to further support our technology roadmap.

 

 

About You

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer who has a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience.

Applicants must currently have the right to work in the UK.

Experience
 

• Back-End development with Python: web frameworks (FastAPI), data processing, libraries and tools (NumPy, Pandas, PyTorch, Matplotlib, PyTest, SQLAlchemy) and server-side scripting.

• Frontend: development with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. A working knowledge of frameworks such as React / Next.js is highly desirable.

• UX/UI Design: Experience with UX/UI design and design tools. 

• Infrastructure: Docker and cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).

• Database Skills: Understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), database design and operation.

• Understanding of Node.js runtime environment would also be advantageous.

• Awareness of – and ideally experience (professional or academic) - in AI projects and techniques.

 

 

Salary and Benefits

• Salary ranging from £3,333-4,580 per month (pro rata, equivalent to £40,000-55,000) Depending On Experience

Recruitment Process
